Welcome to Oklahoma Conservation History

This 1945 photo of Wagoner County rancher Walker Jones showing off his prize Belgian mare in a pasture of Bermuda grass and small clover is a good example of the kinds of historical records OCHS is working to preserve, and share through our website and social media. Photo from the Records of the Soil Conservation Service, General Photographic File, National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.

The Oklahoma Conservation Historical Society was founded in 2016 to collect, preserve, and share Oklahoma’s rich conservation history.

In pursuit of this mission, we are pleased to announce the launch of our website and social media channels.

Our online platform will allow us to better connect with members, partners, and the larger public.

You can find us on our homepage, facebook, twitter, and instagram. Give us a follow.
