Preserving Oklahoma's Conservation Legacy, Sustaining Tomorrow's Future.
Our Story
Soil and water conservation is an important part of Oklahoma's history. For more than a century, conservationists have worked in partnership with farmers and ranchers to protect our state's natural resources.
In 2017, a group of Oklahoma conservation professionals came together to establish the Oklahoma Conservation Historical Society (OCHS), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to collect, preserve, and share the story of conservation in Oklahoma.
OCHS seeks to tell the story of the conservation partnership. Our membership includes individuals and organizations from across the state who care about preserving the legacy of soil conservation in Oklahoma.
